In May 2007, the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Diversity (CACD) issued a report with 27 recommendations to improve diversity at UCSF.
This report included 16 recommendations that specifically addressed the CACD’s new charge to recommend new approaches to nurture and promote diversity among UCSF students, residents, fellows and postdoctoral scholars.
In developing these recommendations, the CACD used evidence in the medical literature and from pilot programs at UCSF, best practices from peer institutions, and local and national expert opinion.
The report also included recommendations to improve diversity for staff, faculty and business subcontracting and two recommendations to strengthen the chancellor’s advisory committee process going forward.
Here are the CACD cover letter, report on activities and recommendations.
