Congratulations, Dr. Hill!

LaMisha Hill, PhD, has accepted the role of inaugural Vice Chair for Equity, Inclusion and Structural Change for the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. In this position she will guide the Department's efforts to create a truly equitable environment for faculty, staff, and learners.

Dr. Hill has served as the Director of the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC), with the Office of Diversity and Outreach (ODO) since 2014. As Director, she has led Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) educational efforts, has overseen programming of the MRC, and has emerged as a highly requested facilitator and DEI trainer providing workshops on unconscious bias and best practices within recruitment and hiring settings.

Additionally, Dr. Hill serves as Chair of the Black Caucus, UCSF's first official affinity group founded in 1968.

Dr. Hill studied psychology and philosophy as an undergraduate and earned a master's degree in Counseling, Family & Human Services. She went on to complete her PhD at the University of Oregon and a post-doctoral fellowship in Counseling Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley.
