Our club is open to all professional students and offers a great variety of activities, lessons, and professional opportunities. The Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association (APAMSA) is a national organization of medical and pre-medical students committed to addressing the unique health challenges of Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) communities. APAMSA serves as a forum for student leaders to engage these health issues and develop initiatives and projects addressing those needs. The local, regional, and national activities of APAMSA aim to promote the health of the APIA community and help healthcare workers understand how to care for APIA patients in a culturally sensitive manner. Finally, APAMSA provides an important venue for medical students to meet, exchange experiences, and develop personally and professionally through leadership and service.

CHE (Chicanos/Latinos in Health Education) is an umbrella organization of LMSA (Latino Medical Student Association), HSDA (Hispanic Dental Student Association), LAPS (Latino Association of Pharmacy Students), and Voces Latinas Nursing Student Association. CHE unites Latino students and those interested in the Latino community, from within the various professional schools at UCSF. Our mission consists of an interdisciplinary approach that offers outreach, mentoring, cultural awareness, health education, and direct services to diverse communities in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Our goal is to unite as professional students who come from humble origins, in the hopes of serving as an inspiration to youth and future leaders in the health professions.

Chinese Health Professional Student Association (CHPSA) primary goal is to promote respectable understanding of Chinese culture and its diversity to students at UCSF. More importantly, CHPSA will emphasize Chinese culture relevant to medical and dental treatments and facilitate culturally sensitive patient centered care at UCSF. We hope to not only promote interprofessional cooperation amongst various health professional schools, but also to promote such cooperation amongst students of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, not limited to students of Chinese ethnic background.

Academic gathering among Korean life scientist at UCSF and the bay area. We organize a seminar every month so UCSF Korean scientists can present their work and share their academic interests regularly We also host a conference once a year inviting Korean bio-medical scientists from UC Berkeley, UC Davis and Stanford for broad academic and social communication.

The Latino Association of Pharmacy Students (LAPS) is a culturally diverse group of students devoted to providing health care services, education and outreach to under-served communities. Our main focus is to serve the Latinos in our community and to provide valuable health education and services, especially in the pharmacy setting. LAPS also strives to teach students about the Spanish language and the Latino culture, so that we may interact more effectively with the populations we serve.
